Hello there, Wonderful Souls!

Hi there! My name is Mai Abushaaban, and I’m the founder and President of Bridge to Baladi, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Baladi is an Arabic word for “my country,” making Bridge to Baladi a symbol of my commitment to bridging between my local community and homeland.
You may know me from my Instagram campaign for Gaza, where I raised over $100,000. By establishing a non-profit, I can safely continue my mission through official and verified channels.
If you’re new here, I am a proud Gazan with direct connections on the ground dedicated to providing support to civilians impacted by war. In the past, I’ve raised money for vital signs monitors and reconstruction assistance for small business owners. Having family in Gaza is a game changer as there are needs within smaller communities that larger organizations cannot tend to—which is where Bridge to Baladi comes in.
This cause is so near to my heart, which is why this organization is largely run by myself with the support of family and friends. My overhead cost is ZERO, and all expenses are covered by my lovely father—making my organization unlike any other.
While things may look different, my promise remains the same: 100% of your donation will directly reach people in need in Gaza.
